How Important is Having a Website to a Brick and Mortar Store?

The Internet has replaced phone books as the most important way to look up and  search for a small business.

No one uses a phone book any more.  If your searching for a business, you search for it on the Internet.  If you can't find the business you want,  you look at the web sites of businesses you can find. That's why having a website is so important!

Try This test.  Go to Google and search for your business.  Your customers are seeking what you see.  If your not there then they aren't finding your business.  If your competition has a website and you don't,  then its likely that they will have more customers than you.

There are companies out there paying $1000's of dollars for websites.  You don't need a big fancy web page to get noticed.  The basic page with your name, address, phone number and a description of your business and services is all you need to get started. You can add  to it and customize it later.   Best part is you can have one totally free.

That's right  a website just like this one design and hosted totally free.

This page, in fact  this entire blog The Retail Consultant does not cost a penny.  Google's blogger will give you a free blog.  You can use that blog for one post/ page.  Or tell customers what's happening in your store every week.  Post your blog to social media and then go back in a few week and do internet search for business and see the difference it makes to have a website.

Need help setting up your blog and or social media pages email me at kogward@gmail.com for help at very reasonable prices.
